Announcement!

First, there is no Friday Morning Market post this week because I haven't bought anything! This has to do with point number two.. I am moving to England! My boyfriend has accepted a PhD offer in Southampton. Our first weeks/months there will be hard, financially speaking. His scholarship is not enough to support the both of us so I will have to find a job there asap, which, with the crisis and all, will probably be difficult. So from now on we have to try and save as much money as we can.

I decided that this is also a good occasion to re-brand my Etsy shop. Over 4 months ago I started the shop just for fun, as a hobby. But I really love selling vintage and I want to take the shop to the next level. There will be a new, more professional name and a much more selective inventory. I want to try and focus on selling mostly 30s and 40s (but that will be hard), with a bit of 20s, 50s and 60s as well. There will be no more 70s and 80s stuff in the shop unless it's really cute or amazing.

We will have to get rid of a lot of stuff (and we currently live in a 160m2 apartment so we have a LOT of stuff) so I have started to go through some things today, and it will be so hard, deciding what has to go and what we can afford to keep. If we get a university apartment on campus, we will have to stuff our 160m2 apartment in a 30m2 apartment..

I am currently in a state of total excitement mixed with being scared shitless. We have to find a new home to live in before the 1st of october and we can only afford for me to be jobless for one month. Aside from that, we don't know anyone in England so I have to build up a whole new social life as well.

    1. I am moving to Southampton, so I'm pretty close to London. I already found an annual festival very nearby, Goodwood Revival, that I will definitely be attending next year. I can't wait!
